William J. Sites, 80, of Middletown, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Kitts Hill, Ohio on December 4, 1928 to parents John and Ethel (Jordan) Sites.
William worked as an inspector for General Motors for 43 years, retiring in 1993. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and received a Purple Heart.
Mr. Sites is survived by his son, Larry Sites and daughter, Lisa (Robert) Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Wanda (Runnells) Sites in 1997; his parents; and brothers, Elmer & Carl Sites.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Hawthorn Glen for their excellent care and compassion for the last 6 ½ years and special thanks to Dr. Malcolm and his staff and the staff of Hospice of Dayton for their excellent care during this difficult time.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Sam Luke and Pastor Bobby Taylor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 -11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
