William L. "Bill" Hollister, 80, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at his home. He was born in Hamilton on March 10, 1943 to parents, Harry and Anna Elizabeth (Glasmeier) Hollister.
Bill worked for the Middletown Police Department, retiring as a K-9 Officer in 2000 after 31 years with the department. He had proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Bill loved his family and will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Marsha Hollister; daughters, Amy (Dave) Hobbs, Billie (Mike) Dingledine, Mary (Terry) Burton, Wendy (Mike) Adams & Jodi (Jeff) Combs; sister, Judy Roseberry; brother, Jim (Barb) Hollister; sister-in-law, Kathy Hollister; brother-in-law, Gary Bales; grandchildren, Matthew (Monica) Scott, Megan Scott, Allison Burton, Andrew Burton, Kylie Dingledine & Lucas Dingledine; extended family, Jacob Tannreuther, Lani Clark & Ramey Snyder; his ever loyal K-9 companion, Tyson; Wednesday lunch buddy, Peggy Thompson; and numerous other family & friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Tim Hollister; daughters, Gaylan Miller & Terri Hall; brother, Robert Hollister; and sister, Mary Bales.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Berachah Church, 1900 Johns Rd., Middletown. Funeral service will be Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the church, with Pastor Lamar Ferrell officiating. Military honors will be presented at the church following the service.
