William Leo Sennett, Jr.

William Leo “Bill” Sennett, Jr., 83, of Middletown, died Saturday morning, August 23, 2003, at his vacation home in Caryville, Tennessee. Bill was born in Middletown, on June 6, 1920 to William Leo and Anna Iva (Tobin) Sennett, Sr.

Bill was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Church. He loved his Irish heritage, his family, basketball, and horse racing. He graduated from Middletown High School in 1938, and served his country in the Coast Guard during World War II. He worked in the corrugated industry for 50 years. Mr. Sennett was the president of Sennett Containers, Inc., a corrugated container manufacturing company, from 1970 until his retirement in 1993.

Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patsy C. (White) Sennett of Middletown; one daughter, Suzanne B. (Scott) Weil of Knoxville, TN; three sons, William Leo (Regina) Sennett III and David Tobin (Keri) Sennett, both of West Chester, and Michael James Sennett of Middletown; eight grandchildren, Amber (Kipp) Leihgeber, Lauren Weil, Molly Sennett, Andrew Weil, Will Sennett, Luke Sennett, Daniel Sennett, and Katie Sennett; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother James Sennett; and sisters Louise Abell and Margaret Zehring.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish-Holy Trinity Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wildwood Country Club immediately following the interment.
