William Leroy Frye

William Leroy Frye, 83, of Middletown, died Friday, June 13, 2003 at his residence. William was born on October 15, 1919 in Middletown to William Bernard and Elizabeth Dorothy (Reuter) Frye.
He was married for over 40 years to Frances V. (Fowles) Frye until she passed away in July of 1986. He honorably served our country in WWII in the U.S. Army and later worked as Yard Master for Armco Steel for 43 years until he retired in 1983.
He is survived by two sons, Alan (Karen) Frye of Middletown and Richard (Sue) Frye of Hamilton, Michigan; two brothers, Pete and Ronnie Frye both of Middletown; two sisters, Alvina McQuitty of Middletown and Dorothy Saunders of Hamilton; Four grandchildren, Bill, Jody, Carrie, and Andrea; and a great-grandchild, Katelyn Rose Frye.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances V. (Fowles) Frye; his parents; and a brother, Fred Frye.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at 11:00a.m. at Wilson Schramm Spaulding Funeral Home, Inc., 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita, with the Mr. Ron Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery, with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 218. Visitation will be Monday, June 16, 2003 from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home.
