William McKinley Housh, Jr., 88, of Monroe, died on January 4, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on April 18, 1924 to parents William McKinley and Elizabeth (Downing) Housh, Sr..
William served his country as an officer and a pilot in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Housh was the owner of Housh Heating & Air Conditioning, which he founded in 1954. He was a member of Highpoint Lodge #773, F.A. & M.
William was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gerald Housh.
He was a loving, caring, and devoted husband and father who leaves his high school sweetheart, best friend and wife, Lenora (Witt) Housh; three sons: Richard (Jennifer) Housh, Michael (Theresa) Housh and William (Lynn) Housh III; one sister: Lajune Lowe; one brother: Robert Housh; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to starting and operating a successful business, he inspired and trained numerous Houshs and other craftsmen in the HVAC industry.
Bill and Lenora have also attended, loved and served the Monroe United Methodist Church for sixty years.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Monroe United Methodist Church, 206 East Ave., Monroe, with Reverend Dr. Timothy J. Waugh, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at time of service. Hightpoint Lodge #773 services at 12:45 pm. Military Services will be provided by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
