William W. "Bill" Moore, 82, of Lemon Township, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Lily, Kentucky on March 19, 1942 to parents, Roy and Genevieve (Hodge) Moore.
Bill had worked as an over the road truck driver and following that he worked in maintenance for Cohen Brothers, retiring in 2004. He was quite the storyteller and greatly enjoyed playing guitar and singing with his family. He also loved spending time outdoors, taking camping trips and being around horses.
Most of all, Bill loved his family and he will be greatly missed by his wife, Thelma Jeanette (Tipton) Moore; children, Gina (Gary) Martin, Billy Moore, Nikki (Kevin) Fox & Becki (Austin) Calhoun; brothers, Richard (Donna) Fite, Jerry (Bonnie) Fite, Douglas (Carolyn) Moore, Lonnie (Carol) Moore & Gary (Paula) Moore; sisters, Ada Harbors & Jewell (Gene) Smith; his 13 grandchildren, Tabitha, Racheal, April, Heather, Danny, Robby, Stevie, Zach, Alexis, Gage, Kenzie, Deuce & Autumn; 12 great grandchildren, Jordan, Hailey, Carson, Zakiah, Zariah, Adalyn, Ella, Payton, Phoenix, Zane, Sora & Axel; and great-great grandson, Noah.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Fite & Bobby Moore; daughter, Susan Myers; and great grandson, Corey M. Sims.
The family extends special thanks to the DayCity Hospice nurses, social workers and Chaplain Lisa Stephens for all of their care and compassion.
Funeral Service will be Friday, November 1, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Chaplain Lisa Stephens officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
