William R. 'Bill' Pruett

William "Bill" Pruett Jr., 65, of Rock Creek, West Virginia, died Friday, May 25, 2007 at Raleigh General Hospital. He was born in Raleigh County on April 17, 1942 to parents William R. Sr. and Mary (Young) Pruett.

Mr. Pruett was a veteran of the United States Army and worked in maintenance for Chatham Village Apartments for 18 years, retiring in 2001.

Bill is survived by his wife, Faye (Harris) Pruett of Rock Creek, WVa.; four sons, Randy (Karen) Maxey of Middletown, Larry Maxey of Morrow, Gregory (Pat) Pruett of Franklin, and John (Jamie) Pruett of Middletown; ten grandchildren, Gennifer Maxey, Nicholas Maxey, David Maxey, Brandi Maxey, Adam Post, Jordan Pruett, Andy Pruett, Chloe Pruett, Bailey Pruett, and Riley Pruett; and numerous aunts, uncles, & cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Reverend Howard Sears officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
