William R. Mann

William R. Mann, 87, of Middletown, died Friday, November 20, 2015, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on February 2, 1928 to parents William and Sarah (Williams) Mann.

Mr. Mann was a faithful member of Stratford Heights Church of God for 60 years, serving on church council and as a Sunday school teacher. He served his country in the United States Navy.

Mr. Mann is survived by his wife, June Mann; sons, Steven R. (Jill) Mann, David W. (Parma) Mann, Phillip R. (Melissa) Mann; daughters, Catherine S. (Garry) Turner, Jennifer J. Mann; stepson, Benjamin (Randi) Hom; half-brothers, Edward Carpenter, Logan Carpenter; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

William was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Hazel Mann; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; and 1 half-sister.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10:00 am at Stratford Heights Church of God, 4419 Nelson Rd., Middletown with Pastor Ray Phillips officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
