William “Bill” Wayne Wardlow, 88, of Versilles, Ky. died on Saturday December 13, 2003 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Ky. Formerly of Middletown, Bill was born in Greene County on July 12, 1915 to the late William Henry and Sarepta Nora (Reeder) Wardlow. He retired from ARMCO after 28 years of service in 1978. He was a crane leader / dispatcher. Bill was a member of the Christian Enterprise Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Gracie Huff Wardlow of Versilles, Ky. his children, Carl (Phyllis) Wardlow of Winter Haven, FL, Lois (Dannie) Manns of Houston, TX, Richard (Geri) Wardlow of Moorpark, Ca, Wayne Wardlow of Middletown, Helen Jolliff of Monroe, Mary McClain of Celina, OH Dorothy (Bill) Powell of Celina, OH, Daniel (Merry) Wardlow of Middletown, Patricia (Rick) Wardlow of Middletown, and William Wardlow of Middletown, stepchildren Caroline (Cliff) Flynn of Falmouth, KY, George Clouse of Richmond, KY, Sandra Boston of Versilles, Ky and Leitha (Billy) Lewis of Lexington, KY. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Ralph Wardlow.
Visitation will be held at the Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown, on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home. Interment at Middle Run Cemetery in Waynesville, Ohio
