Wilma Jean Davis Muncie, 77, of Middletown, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on June 20, 1930 to parents Monroe and Cassie (Rudd) Davis.
Mrs. Muncie was a founding member of St. Francis Episcopal Church and was a member of the Daughters of the King. She worked as a ward secretary at Middletown Regional Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1987.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Russell D. Muncie; one son, Stephen D. Muncie; two sisters, Genevieve (Roy) Perkins and Bernice Byerly; a brother, Kepler Davis; half-sisters, Ginger Martin and Brenda Rogers; and grandchildren, Patrick J. Muncie and Emily K. Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Monroe Muncie; her parents; sister, Betty Carol Crace; and brother, James Monroe Davis.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 9, 2008 at 1:00 PM at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 225 N. Main St., Springboro, with Bishop Kenneth Price, Father Joseph Redmond, and Deacon Marguerite Denton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
