Wilson Gabbard, Jr.

Wilson Gabbard, Jr., 79, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Ricetown, Owsley County, Kentucky on July 9, 1944 to parents, Wilson Sr. and Lacy (Gilbert) Gabbard.

Wilson graduated from Kings High School with the Class of 1963, where he was voted most athletic his senior year. He enjoyed basketball and baseball and was an avid UK fan. He had worked for Tomak Precision, retiring after 57 years with the company.

Wilson loved his family and will be greatly missed by his daughters, Jennifer Tara Gabbard-Lawson, Bianca Gabbard-Woods, Kasi (Tom) Wellman, Lisa (Eric) Duncan, Lori (David) Moore & Amy Williams; brothers, Havis Gabbard, Wayne (Mary Jo) Gabbard, Keith (Nancy) Gabbard & Lester (Donna) Gabbard; sisters, Carlotta Banks, Donata (Merle) Godby, Kathy Hymer & Dana (Donnie) Edwards; 14 grandchildren, Justin (Lyndsay) Brittain, Jordan (Ben) Emenhiser, Skyler (Aniko) Duncan, Whittle (Cole) Johnson, Mari Gabbard, Kyle (Hannah) Woods, Lauren Johnson, Logan Johnson, Bryce Johnson, Kevin Woods, Chase Duncan, Katie Johnson, Collin Lawson & Madi Johnson; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Susan Gabbard; and sister, Leda Mae Kemble. 

Funeral Service will be Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Skyler Duncan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Springboro Cemetery.
