Yvonne S. "Bonnie" Tibbs

Yvonne S. “Bonnie” Tibbs, 77, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born on January 8, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to parents Jesse and Myrle (Combs) Smallwood.

Bonnie was a resident of the Dessie Scott Children’s Home during her childhood and attended Wolfe County High School where she met her husband of 58 years, Bobby Tibbs. She retired from Deaconess Hospital as a medical records specialist in 1992 after 16 years of service. After retirement, Bonnie and her husband, Bobby moved to Campton, Kentucky where she was active in her church and many community organizations. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Bobby Tibbs; daughters, Pam (Mike) Sora and Tammy (Pat) Smith; grandchildren, Tony Sora, Patrick (Allyson) Smith, Nick Sora, Jesse Smith, Joe Sora, and Zachary Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother French Smallwood.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
